Trainee Award Competition Guideline
1. Eligibility
Students who submit an abstract to 2026 SRA-Asia, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, are eligible to apply for the Trainee Award Competition.
2. Application Procedure
Please refer to the “Submission Guideline / Abstract Submission” page for abstract submission instructions.
To participate in the Trainee Award Competition, applicants must complete the following steps during abstract submission:
- Select “Poster” as the Presentation Type.
- Check the “Students’ oral presentation competition” option.
The deadline for Trainee Award Competition applications is June 30, 2026. Abstracts submitted after this date may still be considered for regular conference presentations but will not be eligible for the competition.
Students may submit multiple papers for the competition, provided that each paper addresses a different research topic. However, submissions with identical or highly overlapping content will not be considered for duplicate evaluation.
3. Evaluation Process
The Trainee Award Competition consists of two stages.
- Stage 1: Abstract Review
The results of the initial abstract review will be used solely to determine eligibility for the final round and will not be included in the final competition score. - Stage 2: Oral Presentation Competition
Outstanding abstracts selected through the initial review will be invited to participate in the final round of the Trainee Award Competition. Finalists are required to present their research orally in English during the conference and complete the poster presentation in accordance with conference regulations.
4. Competition Format
Each finalist will be allotted:
- 10 minutes for oral presentation
- 2 minutes for questions and answers
5. Awards and Prizes
- First Prize (1 award) Certificate and NT$2,000
- Second Prize (1 award) Certificate and NT$1,500
- Third Prize (1 award) Certificate and NT$1,000
- Honorable Mention Awards (3 awards) Certificate and NT$500 each
6. Additional Information
The organizer reserves the right to revise, interpret, or amend these guidelines as necessary.
